I went through worknet and they paid for my tuition at western pacific. It took almost 9 months with me constantly bugging them to get it but I finally did. If I had it to do over I probably would have stood on the side of a freeway with a sign. Woulda been easier and quicker to make 5 grand.

Dave's knows us well, they have really good food, isn't the getto wagon fun to drive. There is a Pizza Hut up town that has a pretty good buffet during the week. I think for 7 bucks you eat all you want with a drink. Take Care

    #### 9 months?!?!?! I guess I shouldn't complain that I'm 2 and a half months into the process. Although I just found out I got approved for funding an have an appointment wednesday to sit down an figure out what school I'll be going to. How did you like the western pacific school? Its on the list of the 5 schools the W&S recruiter recommended to me.

When and if I get my funding I am going to go to Twin Cities Truck School in Sac. That is the one that Roxy recommended. She didn't like Western Pacific, she didn't go into any detail, she was very professional about it, she just said that if I was able to make the drive to Sac that it was well worth staying away from Wester Pacific. I was up in Sac this morning and stopped by the school. The owner was in the office and we talked for a bit, he was very friendly, and they have a lot nicer looking equipment than Western does. They also work with smaller classes. And they are also more than $1k less. Not that it matters if you are getting funded.

If I was closer to Sac I would look into them. Sandy recommended 5 schools to me, Mission Hill Truck School, Truck Driving Academy, Truck Nation Truck School, Western Pacific Truck School, and Western Truck School. From what I've heard and researched already my first 2 choices are Mission Hill & Truck Nation. I am going to call them & go check them out in person this week. I know WIA has certain ones they want you to goto so hopefully those are acceptable. I'll find out more tomorrow.

Yeah, keep bugging them at least twice a week show up in person or you'll never get the money. WePac's ok. The equipment is a bit old and you do a little too much of the cone driving in the parking lot opposed to on the road driving but they're ok. When you get out here you'll realize that the sole goal of the truck school was to get you to pass the DMV but real world driving and all the other stuff you have to know is another game altogether. Hauling a 53 on ice is no joke!:biggrin_2556:
