I've spoken to a driver who had the bluetooth CB. From the point of view of the person on the other end, avoid it. It can get fuzzy and static-y. Just like a CB
My headset is a Motor Trend, and everyone I've spoke to says it's good. Usually they can't tell the difference between when I have it on and when I'm on the regular phone.
What is the best earpiece or headset for truckers?

Thats the point of the Hands free head set. Id go crazy bored lonely out of my mind without it. If we had to pull over every time I needed to call the dispatcher or the place i was delivering to we wouldn't get any miles.
I do see your point, but it's not feasible.kenn2632 Thanks this. -
ok...since you're the OP....i'll tell ya, i dont have a clue. i dont have one....but PLEASE.....for your sake, if you get a headset, do yourself and us a favor.....and
TAKE THE #### THING OFF WHEN YOU GO INTO A TRUCK STOP.........MAKES YOU LOOK DUMB. -
When I am stalking the T/A in Lodi, Ohio, I notice drivers come into the restaurant with them on all the time. Still waiting to see one dropped in the buffet chocolate pudding or gravy.
Oh, and it is 100% bonafide ridiculous witnessing drivers sneezing and coughing at the buffet without covering their mouths. Sure doesn't help the trucker rep of being complete ignoramuses when people witness that. Most of them are younger men, and dressed like slobs - of course.
Hey you "fat, wearing muscle tees in the Winter, Jagermeister skullcap wearin' slobs" ...get a clue!!Last edited: Dec 9, 2010

If you need to talk to your dispatcher or receiver that much, something is seriously wrong.
I talk to my dispatcher once a day in the morning if I am under a load. The shipper or receiver I talk to typically once when I get closer in order to get truck directions. I still do easily over 3000 miles in my 70 hours. Usually almost 3600 miles. I never have to run hard, I just make sure I know where I am going and how to get there.
That, and I only pay about $70 a month for a cell bill. Mostly unused. -
Great info. Thanks i will check in to this brand also.

Im not saying I do that often just making my point of having to pull over to call or take a call from home.

I just started using the Cobra Blue tooth. Its ok. Its great for me I can hear the person great but, sometimes it cuts in and out for the person Im talking too. It works for me I guess. Gonna see how it does over time

I've had the same problem with my blue parrot. I had a jawbone that worked good for about 2yrs before it died, tried another smaller jawbone and it didn't work as well. I can hear fine on the blue parrot but others have a hard time hearing me.kenn2632 Thanks this.
