those numbers are a little deceiving. Alot took severance and others transferred to other terminals. Just about all cities with 2 terminals have one or the other closing. The news reported 120 layoffs in Charlotte but, again, most either choose to leave with severance or got transfers. In fact, they just hired some new city drivers cause they didn't have enough.

I'd hate to advise either way..lol. It all depends on location. Hub versus end of line terminal, it really depends on where but, you should get looked at before others since you work for fedex already, even though it's seperate
-
A lot of ppl didn't know that fedex offered all their employees the option of severance pay or to transfer to diff terminal . Those jobs u see on the website are for the terminals staying open.

Did you guys get your raises the last couple years?
-
they had raises recently to match up freight and natl. Now ofcourse, they are merging
-
ah
they froze ours a couple years ago, then reinstated it a year later, yet only at 2%. I guess were getting the same raise as last year.
Before this, I figured it would take about 12-15 years top out. Now, who knows.
At least I have a job I guess. -
