...what's more, I have an equal number of years in BOTH the information systems field and the trucking industry...about 15/15 in the last 30. I went back to school after being a trucker for about six years, I was running local P&D while I attended my undergrad studies, and do my grad work online (this is actually MORE difficult than 'in the classroom' study BTW.) I have worked back and forth since then, by choice of course, and now have decided to have a go at both simultaneously. I dare anyone to tell me it can't be done! Go ahead, pour a little JP8 on my fire and watch me make it all work, HOOAH!!!!

 

97% huh? Well that means we're improving! It WAS worse, and ALL driver logs!

And damage control??? What damage? A loser like you does not damage he create.
Drivers abandoning trucks all over the country is a product of crappy drivers, not crappy company. Still, every company has to deal with this. It's nothing unique to Perkins.

Finally, If I'm buying an old and worn out truck? It's because I made it old and worn out. The truck was barely broke in when I got in it. 300,000 miles isn't old and worn out by any means or stretch of the imagination.

 

Perkins was forced to install elogs because the D.O.T. made them, they had so many violations that their safe stat score is 97% check it out also check out their fines . If this does not explain Perkins what does? There a mer scam ! They better pony up the money they screwed everyone out of or they soon will find themselves in a deep pinch with the law.

 

At Perkins you put everything in to it and get nothing back, their crooks . Real scam crooks everyone knows this and they can not hide it do to the number of people they have ripped off. (I am referring to Perkins in Noblesville IN)

 

I was loading in Ontario, CA and had a chance to talk to a Walmart driver. They've been on elogs for 4 years now.
Look around you. With the advent of CSA2010 every motor carrier has gone to elogs or is headed that way.

At Perkins, you tell them where you want to spend your holidays and for how long. They will get you there.
That's not the case with most company driver jobs.

 

If you were a driver for Perkins and have been injured by their business practices, please also leave a comment . We need to stop them from further damage to drivers reputations from false D.A.C reporting and from questionable leasing practices

 

Are you still working for Perkins, and are you making any money......
