Okay, thanks for the reply dude. I'm going to be sure to have my CDL Permit before going to a private school.
Looking forward to your future threads/posts!

Thanks Yukon.
No, I'll be going solo. Besides, somebody's got to hold down the fort and look after the dogs.

yeah Wedge cuz I know where I AM??!!
I think if you where the ring and keep the whistle around your neck and need help.....only another Swifty can hear you and they will come and help ya out!!!
So..........the big day is approaching fast! You packed and ready? Checked the newbie thread for what to bring/etc not to bring? Remember you are going to be sharing your metal closet for the next oh about 6 wks with someone else. Makes me wonder if starting in the warmer weather would be easier as you don't have to bring as much(warmer)clothes!! I know you have your electronics!! Good cell? Phone or one on the cell? Hopefully you will get to see some great places and get some pics to post. Those are great to see! I know AT has posted a bunch.
Can't wait to hear how you are doing ---but we know you will be busy and won't be able to post as much.Wedge Thanks this. -
Maybe that ring has a button on it that emits a high frequency that only the lizards can here and it keeps them away!

I don't have to panic about packing because the orientation takes place just under an hour away, so I'll be commuting all three days. I'll play it by ear as far as when I head out with the mentor. Hopefully it will be Friday.
I equate the OTR training to camping. I used to do a lot of fishing, and we would spend plenty of nights camped out so we could get an early start. I'll try to maintain that mentality for the duration. Besides, it's going to switch over to teaming, anyway, so space won't be an issue.
Clothes are easy. It's winter everywhere, mostly. I have plenty of winter gear from doing construction work. I dress in layers.
Electronics are good to go, but I still need to upgrade my phone.
The first week out will be iffy as far as posting goes. I'll need to follow the mentors training plan. When we shift to team it'll get easier.
Still, I'm a little anxious about Tuesday.
sammycat, wulfman75, Spacecoast and 1 other person Thank this. -

I know Sammycat. It's the waiting that I don't like. It's like someone giving you a present, but you can't open it until the 14th.

Thanks for the support, Lady K.

That's why it's important to stay in touch.
