Umm thats not good advice.
I'm not saying I disagree per se, but to lie to the PD that you were robbed can open it's own can of worms..

Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.

To the OP, IMO the best way to go about trying to get your money is to have a professional conversation with the O/O that's owes you money. If you can work it out between the two of you that would be the best way...if that don't work then you can let the legal system work for you, but there is no guarantee you will see a dime if you take him to court.
SweetSouthernRide Thanks this. -
I agree with MT.
And stealing crap off of the truck is not a good idea at all.
Not all o/o's are like that, just be careful if you work for another one in the future. -
Should have inserted an "lol" or "jk" after my post. It was meant to be a smart ###, light hearted comment. ( although there is nothing light hearted about the op getting ripped off) Sorry to offend, I guess on other forums people know my tone in type context. Ill let myself get a little better known before posting such things. Once again, my deepest appologies.
P.S, leagal action is always the smartest way to do things. Make sure to hang on to any and all documentation. -
#### that. There's no real justice in the law/court system anymore. Just a bunch of paper pushing pansies with law's and higher power that will win but as was stated, trying to get such won judgment is another game all it's own. That's where we just say to hell with it and save the time and money wasted for court and take it into our own hands but this is for getting what your owed without a trace of evidence back to you.

He does have a #### good point though.

I am going through the same thing right now. Last company I worked for didn't want to pay me the $4500 they own me. I took him to small claims court and he decided that he would write a letter to defend himself instead of showing up. That made my job so much easier the judge laugh and told me that I won my case that you cant try and defend yourself with a leter. I waited the 30 days that I needed to and then I filed to garnish his wages. I live in Indiana and the limit on small claims court is $6000. But you can search the web for small claims court for the state the company is in and it will tell you the steps to take. I know that as long as he has a truck running and making money I will get my cut of it.
