Thanks for the info. I live in Pequannock so it would be between Rockaway & Carlstadt. Can anybody give me any updated info on orientation in Joplin,Mo.


Orientation is basically 5 days. Everyday is basically class time telling you everything from policy and procedure to the different departments (safety, HR, MPG, Shop,) what to expect blah blah blah and signing lots of paperwork. The first day you will go out and do your 45 degree backing. You have 10 minutes and have to get out 3 times and look at certain points while backing.
The second day you will do your driving test. If you make it past those two you are pretty much hired.

 

Worse than Albany ? (never been, but i heard its pretty bad)

 

Good Luck. I didn't last long but I had a job opportunity come up I couldn't pass up. I am a retired cop and an opening came up in security at a local hospital. They want to hire retired cops instead of younger kids that want to use the hospital as a stepping stone. Work 3 twelve hour days off 4 days, home every night. I liked trucking other than being gone for 14 to 17 days at a time. I don't regret giving trucking a try. Good Luck to you.
