Some of the worst spots for me were:
1. MOO AND OINK in Chicago. Blindside back off the street on a 4 lane road at morning rush hour, with a student
2. Beechnut baby food in upstate new york, Don't remember the city. Inside building dock, setup area only about 2 truck legnths of space.
3. New Orleans Cold Storage in Charleston, SC Very small backing area, at the docks in front of the building. Tons of space in the parking area in back where you wait for your paperwork
4. Conagra and the cold storage place next door in Russleville, AR
Both jointss drop and hook, conagra the trailers are practically touching and very very tight backing. Sometimes though the yard dogs are nice enough to put in for you, but usually they just watch while you screw around for an hour. The cold storage place, when you pull into their dropyard, if there are no spots on the left, you will be blindsiding to a spot on the right, as there are not enough room to turn around, even with a volvo
5. Not a shipper/reciever, but the pilot in Beloit, Wi YOu can park maybe 25 trucks, and it's even tight to get a bobtail parked.chompi Thanks this. -
That's what the guard told me. I looked on the CoA they have me with bills and it said the meat was processed that day. All my other meat loads from national beef were processed the day prior.
And no thanks to the vids.

Today has gotten better but because of the mess up with Kraft yesterday and then me taking a wrong turn earlier today I am yet again going to be late. My delivery is for 8am but unless an amazing act of GOD happens I wont get there until about 9 or so. Geeze could my weekend get any worse.

If you met a serviceman, down on his luck, just came back from duty and his wife left him; would you give him a ride to his family if it were directly on your route, knowing that you CAN get fired for it if the company found out?

ask your fleet mgr if there is a window on your appt. Sometimes there is and WE cant see it but they can.
-
Just found out its actually a drop. So to top off all of this I lose my load locks. WOO HOO!!!!!
-
If it a drop then there is window, usually 4 hrs. Load locks, get a pp from your fleet zmgr and submit your receipt for new ones. then tell me where you dropped it with trl # so I can get a couple extra load locks.

Hi, just want to thank you guys and gals for being so honest and straight forward with your posts. Sharing the information with the beginner/newbie drivers is invaluable. I will be heading to Salt Lake City next month and can't help but stay excited when I can stay up to date on the day to day life of you Central drivers. Thanks again and be safe.

Gather I didn't put enough "smiley faces " in to let you know I was kidding. My bad.
