If your interested...I know where a Star Gun Antenna is in some bushes near Tyler TX!

You think the Monkeys are heavy...Check Star Guns out! Forget about trying to tune a Star Gun also...Thats the reason there's one in the Bushes...:biggrin_25516:

The antenna mentioned in the first post sounds like a stryker antenna. They look like a lot like a monkey made and also, no relation to the stryker radios. There is a guy in OKC who makes these, sells them and installs them from an office upstairs in a truckstop there. Hes been there for years and had a recorded sales pitch that plays on ch 19 every 10 mins or so. Sometimes you can hear him talking live if he's doing some cb ninga fighting with the other local shop down the road. They dont seem to like one another too much for some reason.

I've been running the Browning antennas for about a year now, had a Wilson 2000 for many years. I like the Brownings better because they are very light and seem to work pretty good. I was able to tune the SWR almost down to nothing.

Hey brickhauler , Which Browning are you running ? They have sooo many different models ?? They ARE much lighter that those Monkeys for sure . I think that is one of the bright spots for the Predators too .

JJD , where'e the best place to order the Predator ??

I guess I'll need to make a decision between the Predator & a BROWNING ( I already know which is cheaper , just don't know which model would be best ??):biggrin_2554:

I don't think the antenna I bought off the guy isn't a Striker , the Strikers have ROUND coils ( All Models ) this one has flat coils like a MONKEY MADE .

I run the Predator 10K and 43/400 as my primary rig,it has been drilled
    and cable secured.
I have never had any issues tuning to 1:1,this being my 5th 10K in nearly 20 years.
(A simple zip-tie will keep the cable from flapping against the antenna or mirror hanger)

Sparky's has about the best price on 10K's. But CB City, Clays radio shop, and Wallcot CB also have good prices and also sell the New 30K Predators (even tho they may not be listed on the Web Sites)

You can also order straight from Kale (builder) But since he is up to his neck in orders, it may be quicker to order from a dealer.

    Kales number is: 817-790-6239
