Looks like I am going to start at Howell's the first part of January. I have been impreesed with how professional everyone at this company has been each time I have spoke to them. Any other info on this company would be great.

Don`t know much about them.Have shared some of the same freight and met a few drivers. There equipment is well kept and most of the drivers I`ve seen like working there.

I worked there for seven years, they are a pretty good company. Just watch out for one of the load planners Don W. he is a back stabbing, lying, jerk. They always treated me good and they have a real family atmosphere. I'm curious how are they hiring you if you live in upstate NY? They never had authority to run NY before.

You will do alot of sitting pulling a reefer, weather its waiting to get unloaded or loaded and since they pull alot of candy it takes forever for the lumpers to break it down and get it checked in, at these grocery disrtibution centers.

I almost went into details, but figured his mind is made up anyway.

I worked for Howell's a few years back and for three Fridays in a row, I sit for 15 hours or more up in Mechanicsville, Pa trying to get loaded. The last Friday, when I finally got loaded for Roanoke, I called my wife and told her to meet me on 1-81 and follow me to the yard in Roanoke because I was quiting.
