I started back when it was unusual for women to drive solo. First in straight trucks, then big trucks. I've hauled livestock, refrigerated, flats, drops, vans, and containers. At the end, I was an owner operator. I had more than a million safe miles with no accidents and no tickets when I sold my truck and went back to college about 15 years ago. Now, I watch Ice Road Truckers for fun - in front of the pellet stove in my recliner) You can take the girl out of the truck, but.............

Dave 1960 Thanks this. -
I'm getting close to 2 million.
1 preventable in that time (very minor, cracked a guys headlight bezel)
2 speeding tickets in personal vehicle, no tickets in a commercial vehicle -
Somewhere in the neighborhood of 1.75 million. Zero moving violations but a few stupid ones, 5 mins past curfew on oversize, non truck route, improper backing.

Right under 2 million approx, slowed down a bit when I became a temp/local mostly for about 5 years from being OTR before.

1.8 million miles then ran a company school for 2 years now a Safety Mgr for the company. I'm still qualified to drive but only do it if needed.

Hi all.
I have over a million also.
Only a couple "dings" (nothing reportable), and just the "normal" logbook/speed/overweight tickets.
But don't kid yourself that it means doodly-squat.
If a unscrupulous company reports crap to DAC, you're screwed.
Or if you take a break from the road.
If you work somewhere else for 5 years and try to come back, they try to make you take a "refresher" from truck driving school. -
At it for 33 years! Driving Log Trucks, Containers, flatbed, Tripples , Transfer, End Dump, all 48 states, sometimes Owner Operator, sometimes Teamster, Longest stretch is 9 years without a ticket. Most in 1 year=4. I know I have over a million miles , but never kept track
Dave 1960 Thanks this. -
do you mean millions of miles in forward or reverse?????
