22¢@mile split teams CRST just say it 11¢@ MILE

Owning "slaves" has been abolished.
Owning "Truckers" is still legal.

Migrant farm workers have more rights.

I get the feeling that the original poster really just doesnt like being at CRST. Three seperate threads about them. This one about the pay, the one about being "screwed" out of being home for Christmas and the thread about repaying the "loansharks"....oops I mean CRST.

 

i think crst is better than usa truck.
But i'm going to school for usa truck, and i am getting .26 cpm, but they are taking 45 bucks a week from my pay for school. then after a year, it is all over.

but i'm only getting .26 for the miles i drive. you will drive a route twice as fast. so you are basically making .22 cpm. but i don't think you have to pay back 1,500 bucks after 1 year like i do.

 

No. your getting .26 for the randmcnally miles NOT THE MILES YOU DRIVE! big dif.

see my son drives for CRST and he KNEW going in full well what he was getting into..
I even explained it too him...HOWEVER I also explained to him that his FIRST year was GOING TO BE HEEEELLLL..and not expect to make a whole lot of $$$$...after completing his first year he will be able to explore other oppertunities...
See you NEWBs coming thinking you can start at the top..the only job you start at the top is a gravedigger...NOW how much do you want to be a TRUCKER....YOU HAVE TO PAY YOUR DUES so to speak...we all have done it when we started out too...the way dues are paid now are much different than what we paid...BUT BELIVE me WE PAID them too...if you cant make it through the first year GO FIND ANOTHER PROFESSION..you are not going to make it trucking...so STOP YOUR belly aching and DO THE JOB you agreed to do or quit, tuck your tail between your legs and take that sorry buttt and attitude home with you...you are not cut out for this line of work...

 

I hope I don't sound like a prick because its not my intention but in October of 1972 I made my first trip as a driver. I was paid 11 cpm and $2.50 a stop..sometimes had two stops to make. Paying your dues in the year 2010 shouldn't have to mean working for 250-300 dollars a week..pathetic. The owner of the company gave everyone a nice ham, a fruitcake and $25 cash in an envelope for Christmas.

 

Did you get the $25.00 and fruitcake this year?

 

Nope. LOL. Only worked for him about three years.
