Dont know if it will help or not but you can file a challenge on DataQ to have it taken off your record. The speeding part you most likely wont have it taken off.

He wrote you up for the headlight being out from hitting a deer?

Why does a local do a DOT inspection?

Cause they need money too. Expect a lot more of it from what I hear.

I was wandering the same thing? Locals ain't trained or qualified to pull state DOT inspections. Then again I haven't seen it all yet. :)

The great ones set up a nice program that basically allows any law enforcement to take a couple of classes and go out to steal more of our money...I mean do inspections in the name of "safety."

Can you ask for crudentials or I guess that don't matter. No cop will pretend.

Get used to it. Your gonna start seeing alot more local donut consumers with DOT authority. They are getting trained and certified for that extra bacon!

Sounds like BS to me! WTH were you suppossed to do sit there and wait for a tow truck?

Your company needs to take that up with the court. I #### sure would. That cop would have had an earful from me.

Here at GFY trucking we say "if you don't like the way we drive? GFY!!!"

I was told by a TX dot that I was to call a tow truck if headlight was inoperable. And then I said if vehicle is towed then I would be required to do a drug test. The government is so disillusioned about the tons of money we make
