What can be done? 05 W900L with aa 475 ACERT that I always thought ran good but the drivers saying that the guys he's running with with the new ISX's are eatin him alive on the hills. Its actually sad:biggrin_2553:. all running close on gross weight, both 3.90 ratio ,18 speed trans. cant carry the speed on the hills at all. ISX is stone stock too. i know the ACERT has been played with some but not sure white files or codes it has. not looking to set the world on fire but this is really sad, almost embarassing. Gotta do something because i work on the truck on the side, so its my name on its porformance.
    thanks in advance

Take a clean 5 gallon bucket, fill with water and pour it in the ISX.s fuel tank. That will take care of the problem for a week or two. :biggrin_25524:

Have you ever seen a driver come in and say his truck is too fast?

there are other people who can do this,it may be a little more complicated than just tuning it up,maybee the system should be ballanced, increase the fuel delivery, when your asking for more fuel, thats like putting a 75000 lb coil on one trailer cause its cheaper, its not cheaper in the long run,be studious and plan for the future.

No, i don't work for either of them. The truck gets fair fuel mileage, and like anyone i would like to keep it that way, the valves, jakes, and injectors all get cheched and adjusted at the correct intervals, may look into getting some better tunes, but I figere its more involved than just a tune to get the max performance/efficiancy out of it also. remember the truck runs 107k to 110k lbs. on a daily basis
    thanks again
