That Lonestar reminds me of a freight train.
Never heard of Big Cat. I'll have to go look him up. Cool pictures! -
seen a few of there frieghtliners on the hwy

swift does have some nice equipment--i like the kdubs more than the volvo's--alot depends on the driver as well----an unclean truck with months of road grime doesnt look good no matter who you work for
i have talked to people driving the lonestars--and they seemed to like them--i am still not sure--i just have visions of hitting a moose with it--and everything blowing off and underneath you find an old paystar or something -
Looks like a lonestar is a prostar with a different nose. I love my prostar, but my latest one has the maxxforce engine. And it has problems!

I have a question about the skirts on the trailers now that there is some snow on the ground. How do the skirts do with snow as far as build up, etc? Does snow build up on those skirts? I've been curious about that since I have been seeing so many more of those things lately.

There is only two Lonestar's in the Swift fleet...Swift got two, Celadon got two, Werner got two. The two lonestar's that Swift have don't go far away from Phoenix.
The ultra-lite wagons is something new Swift is doing, but they are for dedicated use. (Sam's Club, Wal-Mart, Costco, Etc)
The 45 foot wagons posted on page 1 are for the new beer account Swift picked up this year. If you look at the trailer, you can tell it's not 102'' wide. maybe 96'' wide, hope that helps. -
I expect to see a lot of them with damage on them no matter the company.
I saw one a couple days turning left from a side street onto a 4 lane street with middle turn lane. Standard crown in the road, not real steep like locals that might get a lot of rain that needs to drain away quick.
The skirt was only a real small distance off of the crown of the road. I'd hate to be pulling one and have to worry about that skirt getting torn up in the course of normal driving.
