Crete...not as good as everyone says

Badabing,I will utter one of the greatest movie lines ever and tell you;"My advice to you is to start drinking heavily !" Welcome to truck driving. All of your complaints can be heard of any major carrier. When I started 17 yrs ago,I was making .20 a mile hauling plants which I had to tailgate for $5 a drop with 10-20 stops a load. With the exception of paid rate per mile,things have only gotten worse. I keep track of my ACTUAL on duty hrs a day and my pd miles. Some days I make $3/hr,often $5 or $6/hr. On a good day $15/hr. If you think you can bring home more workin at Wally World,bust a move. Grow up.

 

You might make more money flipping burgers.

 

my company been takin all kind of deductions off my 1000$ safety bonus and i net 7hundred and change ever since i got to the 1000$ level.everyone i know says its a bonus.
they stopped giving safety bonus to new guys 3 years ago.
we go home every day and they got lot of experienced drivers waiting to hire on.
i have a friend with 10 years experience who got hired at crete. he says freight is slow but they faster paced than interstate.
i bet you can do lots worse and you messn up if you dont last a year
i read lots of posts by that evertrucker guy and he has learned their customers and works hard and makes some cash at crete

 

It is your opinion, but not the truth. You have no idea what work is, or how the trucking industry operates, and you want everything handed to you, and done your way...

sorry but that is not the way the real world works.

Crete is a large privately owned debt free company, that has provided you with a job in a down economy, and you come here saying how bad they are, but what you are complaining about is your expectations, and NOT what the company does.

Then blasting everyone who voices their opinion that does not agree with you, instead of backing up your opinion with facts reduces your intelligence, and your credibility.

 

Maybe it's your truth, not "the truth" ...

Get some more experience in to have more credibility - 3 months and 1 company, just isn't much.

 

Badabing, you only have 3mos exp that's not enough to be talking like you know everything in this business! What's next are you going to give lessons on how to drive on snow in rockies being that you don't have expenience on that either? Wake up & see reality & get more exp before you start blasting exp drivers on evrything about trucking!!

 

It seems you cant handle the truth about trucking...rookie...I personal feel with 3months on the road..you have no clue about the industry..If you are still in the industry in 10 years come back and complain than...

 

why not quit now.. or are u just staying at crete to use them for your own personal benefit?????? seems irresponsible to do that especially since you are basically saying how bad crete is but they r good enough for u to milk your 6 mos out of to go elsewhere???? is crete perfect . no. are they better then most. yes u will learn that but by then you will leave to many other companies and then no one will rehire you .so please be careful .try to learn the business before u make snap decisions . i wish you the best in what ever u do but please remember to think before you jump . have a great day
