Is it the bulbs or is it the plastic headlight covers that are white and not clear? Either have the shop order new covers or you can get the plastic cleaner from Wally World for about $6-$8 dollars a bottle. I carry it and clean my covers on my truck (4 wheeler) every month to keep them crystal clear. I just did it on my new rig (Penske Lease), the were white as a ghost and after a few minutes with a little elbow grease they were 200% better. Once I got home I used the kit I have with the wheel polisher. If we meet up and you need them done it takes about 5 minutes. Just a little tip,if you ever in a quick need for a polisher, tooth paste works wonders. The kind with some grit in it.

I just bought the bulbs, so we'll see tonight...They do look cloudy as well so when I get to Helena, if they have a shop, I may have them buff them...At least I'll get reimbursed for the bulbs and I kept the old ones so in case I didn't need them, I'll have spares!..The guy in the WS truck next to me said the same thing, AFTER I went and bought the bulbs...LOL

Don't mess around with having them buff 'em out. Just say the magic words, safety hazard not being able to see at night...and they should install the new ones for ya

Helena shop buffed mine out and they look brand new. Unless they are clouded from the inside the helena paint and body guy Joe will work wonders.

I'll be there tomorrow so I'll see if they can look at them and do it quick...I don't want to be stuck here any longer than I have to as I've been blessed with awesome weather for this time of year up here and would prefer to not be delayed anymore than necessary...

I plan to call ahead when I have a tight ETA and see if I can drop the trailer and while they unload go see Joe and try to knock out 2 birds at one time!

90 through Chicago? Are you nutz? :biggrin_25511::biggrin_25525:

I didn't even go through there in the middle of the night, much less RUSH HOUR!

Even 294 around up to Wisconsin is slow. Glad to hear you made it out of that "ice pickle". Been there, done that before. And I had no chains. Had to buy up every container of mortons table salt in a convenience store to get me out.

    American-Trucker Thanks this.
