So doing a drug test is a hard thing to do? What does a drug test have to do with a tow?

    I must be missing something........

Try getting one done 1200 miles from home on a Saturday evening. Nothing is open and if you can convince an ER to do one, they'll charge you $2500 for it.

If you let them tow you over a headlight, you gotta be on drugs! :biggrin_2559:

She would have been alright waiting 'til day break to drive it. I guess the "safe" thing to do is sit on the side of the road and be a hazard or target for drunks, and texting 4 wheelers.

    :biggrin_2559:

Cops need a drug test done? They can provide transportation and the test for free!:yes2557:

Should do a drug test on the deer, after all it was at fault!

If a cop was that assinine to threaten a tow... I would put the triangles out and catch a cab to the nearest Advance Auto Parts, AutoZone or Walmart. Alot of these newer headlights that use halogen bulbs are readily available. The only difference is the plug in on most. If they don't have the right one, I have carved the notches off one before to make it fit and work on my pick up.
Like someone else said, it's easiest to carry a spare. Pick one up at your company shop.

In Illinois, the locals are being trained by DOT types so that they can do DOT Inspections. So, it will only get worse with time, until someone decides that they like the things that trucks bring them. Time to start hammering your elected officials.
