I know it sucks, it really does, 22 cents a mile is pathetic, but some of us have no exp. and have to start somewhere. And it's almost always the mega carriers that take you right from school. We get our exp and move on... but if we stayed there for years, that'd be dumb. Just gotta put up w/ the crap for a while and get a year under your belt.

This is Helen Thomas! She used to hold the center seat on the White House press Corps until she PO'ed half the world off a month or so ago!

That's not pay at all! If the gooberment were to actually do what they should these morons who run these Megas would be in frickin jail by now! EVEN women in a NYC sweat shop make better money!

Lets put it this way. "Paying your dues?" That's hogwash! Back just a few years ago when you hired on with a company you started at the bottom like a teamster would. I started at $.17 a mile in '75. That's 1975! Figure that out and then say you HAVE to start somewhere! In the 90's when you came to hire on out of school you started at the hire on rate the same as a new hire from another company with some experience but do the math again!

I'll say it again. These BOTTOM FEEDERS that run these companies that say that TWENTY TWO cents is pay are nothing but scum! They are getting richer off of you rookies and you're letting them do it! They would still do great if they paid you a REAL and FAIR rate of pay but these arse wipes will keep doing it until they are brought to justice!

You people coming in to the cess pool called trucking after falling for the lies that these driving mills feed you will keep these low life megas and some others who do this going! Yes you need to feed your families BUT getting screwed for next to nothing is stupid and criminal!

OK Now that I know my BP is back where it needs to be I hope you guys and gals thinking that trucking is the place to be stop and do not feed the pond scum running these scams! Go to Mickey D's or BK or a car wash for work as you'll do better than this industry! Heck even sitting on an on ramp holding a sign and sleeping in your bed at home pays better!

 

I don't believe our o/p. My brother works for CRST on the 10/20 deal. His take is basically 1/3 whatever the truck does. His average check has been $900 ish. He's been driving a sum total of about 6 months. Something doesn't smell right here. I'll have to verify this with my brother, but I get a strong memory of Granpoppa's barnyard after following this whole thing.
