Got family that drives. You can and need to get overweight permits on loads, it depends on the state or states involved, especially on state or county and municipal roads.

Also depends on if the shipper wants to pay the "permit fee", or pay for two trucks. Dow chemical paid the fees. Money always talks, and states love money.

There are companies that run the rocky mountains that are permitted for 90,000 with 5 axles, and 110,000 with 6 axles, and 130,000 running rockymountain doubles, and I am talking about refers.

R U also aware that if you have an APU on your truck, that right now over half the states are already allowing you to be 800 over gross. There is a list out that states all of the states. One question that I have, and that is, if you know that you are going into a shipper that is known for loading heavy, r u going in with topped off tanks. I have known many in my past, like beer loads and tropicana, that I will go in with 1/2 tanks.

I always try and go in with about a quarter tank. I like to scale out and figure my fuel load. the last thing I want is to have full tanks, be 500 lbs over and just a few miles from the scales.
I'd rather do the 50 gallon shuffle than give up a load.

That is 400 lbs over gross, and not axle weights. And not all states allow it. Better to know the weight of your truck, and what you can haul, and adjust accordingly. Now with my t660, I can haul 45,500 lbs, and have done it with 3/4 tanks from JBS cactus tx. Rare to see a load booked that heavy.

Yes, Stevens is a good company. So, what happened at CRE? Why did you leave? Was it your choice or theirs? Fill us in so we can help to guide you through this better.

I am trying to make a final decision between Prime and Stevens and information would be helpful.

Additionally, I see a lot of talk about sleep apnea and BMI/neck size. My BMI is fine, however I have a 17" neck and that seems to be a factor. How is the Stevens process, and if I have to go for a sleep study, will that disqualify me.?
