Is 387 a good buy for flat bed or no? why?
-
Outside of volvo, which seems to be out of the question. I like the looks of the: T600, t2000, frghtlnr century, and 387. I also like the 9900 eagle but do not seem to find much info on them. Please advice.
Thank you. -
He's comparing a company spec'd rig......Get into an O/O spec'd rig and there's a world of difference.....My 386 has more room than I'll ever use......

Edit.....Was Skid his director?....Strider Thanks this. -
NO..Hell no!!!!!
Too effingham heavy...... -
what's the weight of it?
-
Most of the 387's are 241" WB and weigh as much as my 386 with a 256" WB......My 387 "dry weight" was 19K.....
With my flat, tools, dunnage, chains, tarps, personal items and fuel at a half tank (150 Gallons) I sit at 32K Tare.....
My nephew's father-in-law's "old" (He's out of the biz now...) rig....387 241" WB and a Ravens composite deck with a 1/2 tank (150 gallons) with everything on it weighed in at 32.5K......I don't recall the dry weight...and Pete doesn't post the "dry" weights on their website... -
BTW....I'm still considered "Heavy" by many shippers.....I have a few who want to load 50K net....I couldn't do that legally even without fuel......
-
so what would you recommend? fl century or columbia? he he or may be
t
600?
