I researched the industry a good six months before deciding whether or not to choose trucking as a career.I read several blgs went to the local TA and talked to as many guys as possible.Well i made my choice, went to school. It was three weeks long. Most of the time spent behind the wheel lots of backing and in city driving. They took usto a truck stop to go over fueling procedures.I was in class with two other guys one quit two weeks in,So we got a lot of one on one with our trainer.I graduated and passed my cdl test.Left that night with my over the road trainer. Now I had heard many horror stories about bad trainers so I was very nervous. After six weeks with my trainer I am here to tell you there are some really good trainers out there. He treated me with respect.I wasnt just the night driver, after he felt comfortable with my driving he treated me as his team mate.He has been in the industry over twenty years he also taught me not only the rules of the road but some of the small curtoeseys of the road which he pointed out unfortunatley were becoming a thing of the past.Am I getting rich no but I am making a decent living yes.Is it hard yes sometimes but overall i enjoy it.Thought I would share a positive story with you guys.Be safe out there.

Nice work! I'm studying it myself while I'm waiting to go to school. There's a lot to learn. I don't know what I'm going to do yet, but I know what I'm not going to do, and that's priceless information right there!
