Just graduated from N. Carolina Truck Driver Training School 2 1/2 wks. ago. Sent out apps. and got replies from Howard Transportation out of Laurel, Miss. (flatbeds) and Prime, Inc. Approved at both. Howard pays .04/mi. more to start. Anybody have any advice or opinions that might help me with this decision?
Howard Transportation or Prime, I must decide soon!!

Between those two I would choose Howard because Howard makes their own products, power transformers, so you will always have outbound freight. I am told they look for back hauls to get you back to their plants. You might get a load that does not take you back right away, you might get a load to get you to where the freight is for their products. Hope this helps

less money
less hometime................Hmmmmmmmmmmm !!!!!!!!! -

I would go with Howard Transportation. I have heard less about them than Prime and that means a lot in this business. Seeing that they have a terminal in NC means you'll get home more than you would with Prime. There are lots of negative about Prime; if you are overweight and max out in the BMI chart, they send you home. Good luck in whatever you choose.
