In my defense...I'm not pathetic. I work hard to support myself. I have good friends, a good family, and what used to be a good boyfriend. It's not like he just woke up one day and was a full blown drug addict. Those things take time to progress. And rag on me all you want...I find it hard to believe that you would kick a close friend/family member/boyfriend to the curb the moment you realized they had a drug problem. Sometimes investing time and effort into someone seems like the right thing to do, especially when that person has done the same for you.
Also, he's not verbally or physically abusive. He pays his end of the rent and utilities. In fact, the fact that he does that makes him feel a little better about blowing the rest of his money on drugs. It's also made it harder for me to just "kick him out" since his name is on the lease and he's managed to hold up his end of things.

    While he's at his sister's:

Lock all of his stuff in his truck, and change the locks on the door of the house/apartment.

Then tell him to find someplace else to crash until he gets straightened out and STAYS that way for at least a year.

The next time he calls and says he misses you, respond with these words: "I DON"T MISS YOU, I MISS THE PERSON YOU USED TO BE! That'll be an appropriate dose of cold water in his face. If that don't alter his behavior immediately, the person you used to love is DEAD! Period!

Let me tell you something from personal past.
My first wife threw me out years ago.
    Best thing that ever happened.

Took me a couple more years to realise it, but she was right.
I got into the drinking and other things heavy..

At first I hated her for it, but when I got my act together I thanked her.
    That was 29 years ago...

Now I'm clean and pretty much sober. I drink just every now and then, but went 6 years before I even took a drink.
    No more drugs. period..

I've built my life back up and also rebuilt my credit and my job status.

I did my own rehab. was a struggle and had to walk away from alot of so called friends and start new life and surroundings.
    But it was worth it.
I'm still alive and not in prison..

What is it you wanted to ask again? You want help finding a truck driving job for a drunken, unemployed coke head?

Maybe give Jerry Springer a try.

Keep us posted and let us know if he does get a job. That way we can have the company keep a close eye on him. That jerk has no friggin business out on the road amongst families, especially MINE! Trucking is for professional drivers! Not piece of sh@##$#$ drug addicts! With any luck not even Swift will hire him! Aren't there any hotels being built in Vegas where he can lay block or dig a hole? That's his true profession.

SinCityEast, everyone here has given you advise on getting rid of him. But he knows where you work, and thats the first place he`ll show up at. If he still has his drugs around, put them in his truck, when he goes to the liquor store, call the cops, they`ll pull him over, find HIS drugs, off to prison long enough for you to disappear. I know calling the police is not good for both of you, but he did this to himself, In prison, He will have to put the big boy pants on.
