Yeah, better to run the truck out of oil and sleep in a plastic chair for a week while they replace the engine.

If the truck is low on oil, or a light bulb is burned out, what do you do? Call for road service? If the truck can't move, and you're making even a measly 32 cents per hour, it's costing you almost $20 an hour. What's $16 for a gallon of oil or $5 for a light if it gets you going?

Geez, if you're that cheap and you really need to be a scumbucket, you could buy your own gallon of oil, carry it around with you and put in just enough to keep it above the pickup tube. Or put in a new light, then take your old one back when you drop the trailer, so someone else can have a burned out bulb.

Where do the professional drivers hang out?

What is "desil" ?....Doesn't say a heck of a lot for our schools does it ? No wonder the Chinese are kicking our economic #####.....

 

What he said was why should we buy anything for the truck and NOT expected to be reimbursed? IT ISNT OUR TRUCK!!! I have purchased glad hand seals, light bulbs, oil and fuel additive for the truck I drive in a pinch but, I will be ###### if I am not getting my money back. I get a p.o., they get the reciept and I get my money back. It isnt about being cheap or a scumbucket, it is about not being taking advantage of.

 

You should expect to be reimbursed, but if the company isn't really good about doing that, I wonder...what do you do? Take the truck without oil in it? Drive with burned out light bulbs? If you're making so little money that you're going broke buying oil and light bulbs, you're doing something wrong.

Do you really get a PO for glad hand seals? How much time does that take?
