Mike, I am pretty sure that he told me .94, then deduct the escrow from that. If I was looking at an older truck, then it would have been .04/mi.

Also told me that at the end of the month, everything will be moved to the new place, and that Salem will be more like a satelite terminal. If I remember, Caseyville, IL. Hope that truckergal will have some good information for us. I have some more questions to ask, and some statements, like the first time that I go into the hole, and it is the planners or Dispatchers fault, I will forgive once, second time, trk is getting returned.

who knows what they are going to do, but I have in the last month or two met both new lease drivers and new company drivers.

Of course I don't know what they do today. We are getting these fancy new trucks in, so someone has to pay for them.

But I guess they still need someone for the chewed up older trucks, like the one I am in.

Start orientation in a few hours but I'm guessing most company drivers end up in the older trucks? Do you and other company drivers find any complications when getting shop work approved?

No issue getting anything taken care off. The one and only issue I have is the last truck I had, which had air leaks, for the entire 11 months I was in it. I had it in the shop about a dozen times, and things got fixed, but never all of them. I never did find out why it was leaking so bad, they about replaced everything that could be leaking.

I have been put in a hotel every night because my APU quit in the summer until I could get it fixed (truck didn't idle), been towed because I deemed it unsafe (air leak again), replaced tires that I said where not safe. My judgment has been trusted and all repairs where taken care of when needed.

My truck now has 693.xxx miles on it, and is just a good running truck. Unfortunately the driver before me was a pig, and no amount of cleaning will ever get the carpets clean, and I am still wiping the walls down because he was a chain smoker that didn't understand the concept of an ash tray.

I don't even want a new truck, too much responsibility. Well, maybe the brand new Cascadia's they have Thermoking TriPaks on them which I believe work a ton better than the Carrier.

Welcome to the company, if you ever see a Columbia with a Golden Retriever sitting up front looking all bummed out, that will be my pup Rufus.

Mike, they didn't get rid of all company drivers, I don't know how many there are of us, but most people I know and talk to are company, not lease. I have been here 2 years and 4 months and was not let go or forced to team or lease.
