    Central is the lowest paying trucking company in the US. Next to swift witch basicaly is the same company. You will not get miles, that i can guarantee, maybe a few weeks your up then the rest your down, if you can survive off of 250 to 450 a week then your ok and must be use to poverty level living. They will schedule your drops with more time than needed to get there for example a 500 mile run they will give you 3 days to get there and when you arrive you sit untill your delivery time, burning up your clock, they lie, cheat, and steal from you left and right and no one from the top scammer down will tell you the truth. there turn over rate is above 124% the highest in the industry, flashy trucks and no freight and do not expect to get home when you want, good luck there, as they will lie about freight not being in your area and when you do get home you will see central trucks all over the place waiting for loads and have been there for days. place is a joke, seriously maybe 1 out of every 50 drivers say there happy. And these owner ops who say they make a killing there lieing thru there teeth, they have it set up were you make what they want you to make period. The only people who make money are trainers, thats it period. You will drive on average 22% more miles each load than what they pay you for, and its more than HHMG miles, they skim off the top and it goes to the DM in your fleet, but thats a big secret so dont say anything, lol they abuse drivers to no end, they need to be shut down. DO NOT GO TO CENTRAL YOU WILL BE SORRY, and dont believe these so called OR on here who claim they make money, if you have no home, no family, and want to live out of a rolling trailer home then you will make minimum wage at best and thats what they make.

    Man are you an unhappy camper!! Hopefully our experience will not mirror yours... so far it hasn't. We also aren't going into this with the expectations that we will be ALWAYS busy - that the DM will have us scheduled so tightly that it is a drop and hook with no wait time. We also know that we will be living out of our truck and fully expected to. A lot of this 'life style' is what you bring into it... and it almost sounds as if your expectations were not quite in line with the reality of 'trucking'. Good luck to you with what ever you decide to do next - and I hope you have better luck with it than you had here.

    Lady K, I tend to agree with you. This thread has over 1300 pages and most are positive posts. I'm not a driver yet and I've looked into alot of companies read threads, and it seems like a starter company is a starter company. Trucking like any other job/career is what you make out of it. Had a job in a factory for 7 years and was NEVER told the truth about anything and they had "security" cameras watching us to make sure we weren't talking to each other. Just hope singletrucker can find someplace to be happy and make enough money to satisfy him.

    Just do a LITTLE more research. Reading back 30 days is NOT reasearch.

    Read back a year ago, and see how many drivers are still there !!!!

    Check around the web, there are posts about this company all over the place......

    Don't work for a company you know very little about !!!
