    1. and 2. i haven't had any problems with mine so far. and 3. yeah i agree its a bit slow but thats where the quick thinking of us professional drivers comes into play. i dont rely on my gps solely. i am capable of making quick decisions if i have to then when it recalculates i go from there.

    one thing i would like to see is the route change color if its not a designated truck route. sometimes when it recalculates it has no choice but to take you on a rural street. in that case i want the route to turn blue or neon green or something letting me know i might run into some really tight turns and streets a truck shouldn't be on.

    As always the beta tester must be on vacation or his computer is being updated, as always no response from him or any other mcnally support here to answer questions, so I would assume they intend to blame it on telenav as they always do.

    That's not really fair, he spends a lot of time on here & does a really good job when he does. As far as I know RMN use Navteq.

    Eventually it was able to "lock" onto a GPS signal, and once it did it maintained it no problem, but this now occurs every time I turn off the unit and then turn it back on, and seems to get worse with every update. It used to take a couple hours to find the signal, now I started at a new company and it took two days to find the GPS signal, only to lose it again 2 hours later!

    I believe this is a software issue, as during the two hours the unit worked nearly flawlessly, and in the GPS data screen it always "sees" 10-14 satellites, but only "uses" 0-2 when it cannot get a signal. Have you seen this issue before? Is there a way I can wipeout and reload the latest software from scratch?

    Sent the TND into Rand itself, ended up not being able to use it for 6 weeks or so because of it, and yesterday I get the Navi.exe error again. Not only that but I got McNallied today into blowing past the exit for the truckstop just to go down to the next exit and come back. I'm impressed.

    Name me one other main stream product you can get off the shelf, that I can jump on the internet, ask a question or post about the problems I am having like our TND, and then actually get help from the factory guys.

    Kinda tough to do, as that's a real short list. Id say were pretty dang lucky to get any online help at all. I for one will continue to support Rand, and a large part of that has to do with the service I get on this forum.

    Might be time to re think your statement.

    You don't have the slightest clue as to what your talking about. Do you know who's maps Garmin uses? Hint, its NOT made by Garmin!

    Garmin uses NAVTEQ!!!!:biggrin_25526::biggrin_25526::biggrin_25526:

    BTW, spell checking software is free. You are the first person I have ever seen on this board to misspell every other word you've typed. Congratulations, that's a record :biggrin_25523:
