I picked up a load of crane mats going to UT. no pic. / along the way MO. scaled me and come to find out i was 1700 pounds over on my trl. / nice little fine, but the hard part was adjusting the load, without calling out a service. I ended dropping the trl. and used the tractor and chains too pull some of the forward mats over the upper deck.

they both deliver to FL, 2 pick 2 drop that pays decent. -
They made you fix 1700lbs before you left? Wow. I guess I've never been caught over on a spread though, I guess some of these states get kinda funny when you get over 20k on an axle. Actually, I know my state does, so just excuse this rambling.
Crane mats are one of those loads that don't ever seem to be as easy as they should be. Picking up and delivering in a mudhole is bad enough, but nobody knows how to load them so they're not sticking off trailer, and they're covered with mud an rocks. I went to pick up some new ones once, and thought I'd finally have an easy mat pickup. They loaded them with an excavator with a grapple attachment, and sure enough, they dropped one from about 10ft onto my trailer. It broke the side rail and bent it down to the tires on the front trailer axle, which somehow didn't pop.
