Well what started out to be a good work week went sliding down the tubes.. #$%^&@**&(%$$#. Started with a Pier 1 load from Dupont Wa to Spokane Wa 3 drops easy money, even got up over Snowqualamy (spelling?) with no snow. Then down to Lewiston Id for a paper load to Las Vegas, made my drop in vegas and things go down hill from there #$#%^. Get a reset in Vegas I did not need and a load out today that goes to Portland Or, could deliver this load by 12am Wed. but that just wont work with consignee, load not due till 12am thurs and I can come 1 day late but not even 1hr early @^%#$& leaves me with a 1400 mile week making 4th in a row with less than 2500 miles.... OUCH!!!!!!

Woke up to warning alarm this morning, appears I have developed an oil leak...I don't think Dwayne likes me anymore, LOL, as I called him at 5am CST to ask who to call since no shop at this truck stop...He said to call back at 7am Missoula time...It's about 10 degrees here so I have to have heat so I bought some oil so I can idle till then, going back to sleep now...

Truck is now in Volvo service center, I'm chilling in their lounge...Good thing I had 2 xtra days built into this trip, I'd rather be in TX than Northeast right now...Hopefully easy fix but this place is busy so maybe I'll end up in hotel tonight!!!

I was planning on hitting the road by 5am...I've found I prefer to start in the dark than end in the dark...

UPDATE: Not looking good, maybe fuel in the oil...They said idling it all the time could be part of problem...I told them I've only been in above freezing conditions a few nights...They also said it's not running good, it hasn't changed since I've had it so I had no idea, seems to have run fine and consistent to me...Again, you don't know what you don't know.......

Looks like you might be getting a newer truck earlier then expected...

Funny...I too woke up to the sound of an alarm going off (and not my alarm clock!) LOW BATTERY. All accessories disabled... Appears I have a faulty alternator. So here I sit at Loves in Nashville waiting for a service truck. Got here just as I ran out of hours for the day so that worked out (it's also my fuel stop for this trip). Supposed to deliver at 0700 in Monroe, NC about 8 hours away and I get 9.75 back at midnight (3 am NC time). Sent a 61, haven't heard back yet.

They're draining oil and sending a sample up the street for testing than calling WS to see what they want to do next after they get the results(adviser said that takes about an hour)...Not sure when they close here but getting close to giving me a hotel room for the night which I'm all for!!!!!...There's one less than a mile away for $39/night and they pick up and deliver me back here so would be cheap(for WS) and convenient(for me)...

i drive early too, thats not the point. they are on call for like when your broken down on the side of the road in the middle of the night. if your safely parked it can likely wait, thats why he said call back. just saying. i dont know, i have a flow chart in my head for this sort of thing and it starts and ends with, if i were this person am i going to give a #### when you wake me up or is it something that can wait?
