I have been wanting to go into trucking for a while. I have several family members that are truckers and I have been doing a lot of research. The problem is that it doesn't seem like there is a such thing as a good company. I find more bad posts than good posts. If someone can please tell me what the best companies to start out with are, it would be greatly appreciated.

Good Companies.?:biggrin_25512:...-Nope. Well there might be a few that would work for you..,but YOU have to find them., i.e.,I could tell you a company I think is good.,you go and hate it.,I'm then the SOB.,-Do your homework on this forum and elsewhere, don't listen to recruiters, make up your own mind, and "DRIVE ON"

ups is a good company. abf is a good company. and they aren't good because they are nice to you and "treat you like family", they are good to you because they are legally bound to a contract.

a company without a contract is like a dog without a leash, you never know when it's going to run away on you, and there is nothing you can do about it anyway....

I haven't started trucking yet but looking to get into it soon. Is it possible to start LTL as a rookie or would it make a lot more sense to gain some experience elsewhere.

CR England Is One of the worse companys to work for I would say they are # 1 on the worst companys to work for. They Just canned a very good friend of mine due to a accident that was not her fault:biggrin_25516:. She Hit Black Ice and hit a fire truck working a accident. I don,t care how good you are you hit black Ice your going for a ride until you can get control back. So STAY AWAY from CR ENGLAND they are the worst to work for.:biggrin_25510:
