I have experience with the one in FL. I got the state to pay for my schooling. I believe the prices are 7K in loans and 5K in cash. The 1st week is getting your permit and DOT physical. The 2nd week is on the range and learning how to shift. The third week is the same but tweaking.

You should check out Napier Truck driver training, they're in Hamilton, OH.....I recently graduated there, it was a good school with good people who really want to help you to succeed in your new career. Check them out at www.napiertruck.com or give them a call at 1-513-755-3413, and talk to Carla or Aimee, they can help to get you rolling (sorry, that pun was inevitable)!! Good luck!

I see you are located in NC. If you are near Wilmington, check out Cape Fear Community College. They have a day and night class. The day class is ten weeks, 8 hours a day, 5 days a week. I believe the price is under $800.00. And you can get financial aid. Great school, I have lectured there several times. Check your local community college, if you don't live close enough

    RR,

Some will do job placement and some will not. I would call each facility you are interested and ask a lit of questions. Interview them and see if they meet your needs. One I would ask is if they are PTDI certified.

Community colleges are state run, so I am sure they have all the certifications

Almost Anybody can be an instructor at many of these so-called schools.

Community College is the BEST way to go !!!!!

I agree completely. What I find most interesting is how much training you get for the money you are spending.
