And MS thinks they know best on how to update my PC LMAO. Glad I never bought into the "automatic update" hype.

sounds like typical MS BS i just bought this computer w/vista and knock on wood its hasnt given me any problems but i think i am going to go out and get an Apple.A little more pricey but half the headache.

It's a ploy to force users to upgrade to Vista. There were NO problems before Vista came out, now there are problems? Smacks of intentional bugging if you ask me.
I am using Vista and I can't really say if I like it or not. But I haven't had any problems with updates since I got this new OS. -
I almost have to agree with that statement. Especially since the previous "update" requirement included a new EULA and snoop authorization.
Then...about a week later, what arrives. The new YAHOO messenger, with the NEW MS chat capability, that promptly set off every alarm on my PC. Seems my download from Yahoo included a keystroke monitor, and a host of other items that had to be removed. So much for needed updates. -
well you guys can have vista i'm not getting it until they fix it from what i heard you can't play some video games on -n- i believe call of duty is one of them i play call of duty on a sniper server so vista won't play it i'm not getting it billy gate can stick it back up in that box he got it from
