Thought this might be of some help to new drivers in particular. I try to add additions to my small trucker's guide as I find them. I will list 6 places that have big rig parking that are not located in the small truckers guide. Perhaps some other drivers can add a few as well. Additions in the NE I am sure would be greatly appreciated by many.
1. Oregon I-84 exit 285 --- cafe with truck parking

Here's some up and down ramps on I80 in the Keystone that are easy on/offs for a quick stop..
Most ramps on I80 in Pa are good but these are the ones from Oh to NJ that go off and right back on listed with exit numbers. 15, 35, 53, 62, 64, 73, 78 (no parking with the construction), 86, 90, 111, 120, 123 , 135, 173, 185, 192, 199, nothing easy till the 232, 242, and then the all are clover-leafs or just F'd up. I might have missed one or two but every exit ramp I mentioned goes up and down for sure.Artbroken, Paddington, majestyk and 1 other person Thank this. -
MM191 S Bound on I95 in FL theres a Wal-mart that has a couple spaces. Just let management know your on a 10 and it should be no problem. If not theres an abandon gas station at two exits down on the right.

If you're traveling on I-480 near Cleveland, OH...get off at exit 21 and turn L if headed westbound and R if headed east (if you get-off eastbound take a R at the top of the ramp).
First light, take a R...which brings you to an abandoned Wal-Mart with tons of space to park and alot of places to eat nearby like Applebees, Chipoltle, Steak & Shake, and a Giant Eagle supermarket to stock up your cooler.
If you're on the turnpike (I-80), get off at exit 187, which is OH-14 and go east.
First light, make a Left which will take you into a Wal-Mart supercenter....I see trucks parked there all the time...plenty of places to grab something to eat. -
Is there any Truck/Trailer Parking near W65th Street - Denison. Cleveland/Ohio. I see a lot of Trucks parking at a closed K-Mart Store on W65th Street but i do not know it this legitimate. Driver are gone/sleep when i am there to find out.
Any suggestions would be appreciated. -
In Kent, WA which is part of Seattle, you can park behind the Days Inn. From the I-5 take exit 149A if your going north or 149 heading south. Either way go east on the 516. Go north just a couple of miles on the 167, then take the 84th Ave S exit and the hotel is on the right, beside the Burger King. If you pass Ernie's truck stop you went to far. Ernie's is in the book but for some reason they don't want overnight parking. It's hard to find a parking spot in the Seattle area, but this one is okay.

Charlotte, NC
Off 74 (Independence Blvd) on the corner of Independence and Sardis Rd N. Abandoned sporting goods store behind the hotel. Large lot. Always lots of other trucks there.
Going west on 74, take a left onto Sardis Rd N at the light, then 2nd right on Krefeld Dr. Right into the lot.
Going east on 74, take a right onto Sardis Rd N at the light, then 2nd right on Krefeld Dr. Right into the lot.

Too many to list, but I'll throw down one golden parking spot: just around the corner from the Secaucus Railway Junction, right off the NJ Turnpike... great place for those drivers who want or need to pull a restart, or will be laid over for a bit after unloading in Metro Jersey, and who want to visit NYC. Note: this spot is only for those who have sufficient fuel, have everything they need in the truck, are willing to pull the field shower routine on the catwalk, etc., etc. The trade-off: rapid access to NYC via rail on a 7-minute nonstop ride from the Secaucus Railway Junction to Penn Station in Midtown Manhattan... from there, you can hop the subway or strike out on foot in any direction. This is an excellent spot for those who plan in advance, and who rig the truck with everything they need BEFORE entering NJ (heckuva lot cheaper that way, too). How I do it is: I ride the rails back and forth, saving heller money on hotel fare, and party hard with a fraction of the money I saved. Best deals in Manhattan: the free boat ride aboard the Staten Island Ferry, and the "2-Day Hop On/Hop Off Pass" offered by the NY Water Taxi... looks like a waterborne Yellow Cab, includes a 1-hour harbor tour. Other spots to check out: Times Square, Top of the Rock (Rockefeller Center), Empire State Building, USS Intrepid and Growler, Ground Zero, Battery Park, South Street Seaport, etc., etc. When I go, I carry a lightweight summit pack with spare socks and T-shirt, water, snacks, camera, and whatever else I deem necessary for the day... I've literally had a BLAST partying with locals on a ridiculously low budget (for NYC, I mean), pounding Sapporos, Pilsner Urquells, and God knows what else while playing the part of the full-on tourist. A short dog or pint of rum, schnapps, whiskey, etc., also goes far toward breaking the ice with locals. Stick to the rails, the ferry and water taxi, and shank's mare and you'll be just fine... no point in wasting money on cab fare, and we all know walking is good for truck drivers. I once did two full days back to back, touring The Big Apple, and I had the time of my life... take the ferry toward sunset, for an incredible view of Lady Liberty and the harbor. Unreal views to be had aboard the Staten Island Ferry, all for a whopping $0, which should fit most truck drivers' budgets. BWAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!
Okay, that's my tip for NYC Tourists... there's only one exit for the Secaucus Railway Junction (might say Depot on the sign, can't remember), and I think it's Exit 15X off the Jersey Pike, but don't quote me, as I'm currently feeling too lazy, beer in hand, to yank my Exit Guide and confirm that information. If you're into NYC as a tourist destination, you'll figure it out. Alright, gotta go, "Adios, all you PAID TOURISTS!!!!!" I'm gone...
