Howdy,
I am MEDICINEMAN.
(least ways since 1989)
You may learn I was a "pre-driver school" driver, back when you had to find someone to train you and IF you were any good you "broke into it".
I still have little love fordriving schools that charge outrageous fees and impart little practical training.
Anyway,
Some here may have run across me or with me at some point.
Either as a local driver prior to 1992, or OTR between 1992 and 2003.
Drove for MANY companies over the years....
Builders Transport
Deep South Trucking
Prime
SRT
Trailer Transport
JayMar
D&D
Yates
MDS
(and JB Hunt Dedicated was the last)
It was a great experience.
I have driven 48 states, "into" Mexico, and into "Kanadia".
And pulled everything possible except a parking lot.... including the FIRST R2000 reefer ever to hit the roadway, while it was in development/testing.
Trucking is a great way to make a living, and anyone who is thinking about it could do a LOT worse for a career.
At least TRY it and see before you give up.
I left the road in 3003 and went back to school.
I have a degree in Paramedicine now.
But as they say, "it's in my blood".
(pretty sure it showed up on a recent blood test)
Thinking about going back to it "regional" for a while so I can clear my head.
Lotsa "pictures" in there I would rather replace with some better scenery.
