Hey Ya'll

. . .just droppin' in to intro myself to the forum. yes, my nic does say "Ol'BattleAxe", lol! i'm gettin' on up there, i'm crotchety, & i'm stubborn, & i ain't got a whole lotta tolerance for idiots — hence the nic & my signature line at the bottom.

. . .i was born & raised down here in the Deep South & i luv everything Southern Fried, lol again! i've been the wife of a trucker for 33 yrs. now, been married longer, that's just how long he's been truckin'. seen it all, heard it all, been there, done that! it's a strange & quite often tough life to live, but it do have it's rewards: sunrise & sunset out on the open road is just one of many i can think of atm. seeing all the beautiful stars in a clear, crisp sky at night, unencumbered by all those city lights, is another reward. seeing new places, meeting new people, having new adventures, learning new things along the way — can't beat that!

. . .anyhoo, as i said, just wanted to drop in & give a shout out to all ya'll truckers — the true backbone of America!!!

. . .yep, you can call me pretty much anything ya wants to, just as long as ya don't call me late for supper, lol! i've also been known as The Better Half, The Bank (go ahead, just try to get any of the money past me, i dare ya), & Ma Kettle. ya see, i really am old & crotchety!

. . .# jen: yes, i have traveled quite a bit with me hub's, & no, i don't hold a CDL — truthfully, i hate driving a 4 wheeler in this crazy city, no way i could deal with the stuff trucker's have to deal with! funny you asked, while traveling with him a few years back (we were evacuating due to Hurricane Opal), some people at an Arkansas truck stop thought i was the truck driver instead of the hub's, lol! anyhoo, after sooo many years of living with a trucker, & being involved in different aspects of his work, i know quite a bit myself.
