I didnt read the whole thread but here's what I would do YES BUY THE LAND! Land is an investment. You can always sell some off if need be down the road to developers or who ever! That's a lot of acrege to own and land is an investment for your future. Dump the apartment too. Why pay for a place you are not using makes no sense since you live in the truck.
Good luck! And you must be wise beyond your years to have saved like you did! Kudos to you!!![]()

I worked my way up and payed my last house off. Then I sold it and chased an internet woman from hell in hell. There went half my money. I didn't know they made woman like that.
I threw the white flag up and run like hell. I woke up and got away with enough to buy this little old house I'm in now. When I get done remodeling, I might sell it, I might not. I like the location and the lot is loaded with mature tree's and bushes. -
Condo I think you should meet my soon to be ex husband from hell.....
I almost have my house paid off and now that he is tyring to take everything I have (and I supported his sorry arse the whole marriage) I will probably have to take a home equity loan out to pay off this dumb sheet.
AT another reason to have something for YOUR future!!!American-Trucker Thanks this. -
My brother and I flipped a couple properties years ago. We live in a small town where everyone knows everyone. They are tighter with today's economy, but with excellent credit you can still do anything.
You have 10% down, they'll work with you. I know one guy that started when he was your age. Now he owns half the county and has several million dollar listings. I wish I followed.American-Trucker Thanks this. -
She didn't haunt me enough to turn to men!

According to the company that sends me my Quaterly Credit Report my credit score is hire then 85% of the U.S population but my problem is My Age/My income level/and my credit hitory is only 3.5years....as aposed to someone your age with my credit score would be a safer bet for a bank...

AT my one of my sons bought his first house last year he was 21 also did not bother the bank one little bit they have first time buyer rates. i bought our land about a year before i built the house i don't remember it being a problem. also land is one of your best investment. just check out survey, power, water. do not buy without title insurance. they will not insure property that can not be sold legal. and you don't have to offer 175k do your home work and offer a lower price.
American-Trucker and CondoCruiser Thank this. -
You're young enough and have the interest in it. You play your cards right, you won't have to work when you get my age. Land does alot of crazy things in 30 years.

I am going to be the guy that says wait, you're young, and from what you say you are pretty wise as far as saving money, not getting in debt, ect. If your not looking to settle down and move in now then don't buy something yet. We all want to beleive that now is the time, if I don't take advantage the opportunity will go away.
And maybe that opportunity won't be there, but plenty more will be. In five years you may find someplace you love more than S.C. you may fall in love with a girl who wants to live someplace else. You may get the perfect job opportunity someplace else. It sounds to me like you have no reason to tie your self to one particular spot,YET. So don't, leave all your options open untill, and I hate to say this as I always hated it when it was said to me, you get a little older, and know exatly what you want your life to be, and where, and with who. The longer you wait, the more you save, the better off you'll be.
