Open the valves !!!!
-
They are open
-
are the hoses getting any warmth ?
-
No, they are not
-
on our one INT there was the regulating valve went bad. It controlled the amount of hot ant-freeze that went to the heater core...
-
did you follow the hoses right out of the block? and they are not hot?
-
If the heater hoses are cold and the valve(s) are open, then most likely the heater core is clogged. Close the valve and pull the opposite heater hose off. Then open the valve slowly and see how it comes out the core. If it's slow, repeat the process taking the other hose off. Then you'll know for sure.
MrsParker Thanks this. -
I had an issue with mine getting air-locked after I put on a new water pump I believe.
After I got it back from Cat I noticed the valve coming off of the water pump was closed 1/16th of a turn, so I opened it back up. The next morning when I started the truck it had no heat and the hoses were cold. I opened and closed them with it running a few times and you can feel the pressure in the hose. After that I just left it 1/16th closed and I have been warm and toasty.123456 Thanks this.
