THERE trucks are governed at 62 mph,torque +hosepower turned back in 2008, if you get under 6.75 mpg over 3 months they pull you in and blow smoke up your ### about <PROGRESSIVE SHIFTING> # 1600 rpm, while loading your truck out 90% of the time short hauling you,grossing 75,000+ most of the time.
Putting in on home time then they are unable to get you home 10-14 days PAST when you need to be home as they have lost most of their bigger accounts they had when{ JOE sr.}use to run the show,
They dont care whether you get home on time or not,AND WONT TRY TO DO IT.
IM JUST TELLING PEOPLE LOOKING FOR WORK HOW I WAS TREATED AND CURRENT POLICY THE COMPANY USES, MOST OF PEOPLE I STARTED WITH ARE NO LONGER THERE BUT THEY STILL KEEP THEIR <BUDDYS>HAPPY AND HOME,, GOOD LUCK!

 

Thats what i'm hearing after speaking to other drivers who are there . most of everybody are already gone from when i was there, very slow underpowered trucks that are outdated, no miles and generally not happy. truthfully they were not too bad when i was there 3 years ago but alot of stuff changed since then i guess.

 

hey dudes can anyone tell me if metro gives a water test or they pull hair,to beat around the bumper---and also how the heck is the company do they keep you moving,also hows the trucks>

 

Question i was wondering about them myself. I used to run NYC all the time, do they pay anything for traveling there, extra pay I mean? Also can you crack $1100 a week just running NE. Ty

 

MELSWIFE98 how are you i know Mel and mike very well i dispatch them quite abite and have driven with them.They are doing really well on the fedex dedicated.

 

Look as a driver for metro and also as a dispatcher for them 1)Keyed all the same for maintenance reasons like pms when parked in yard.2) All DM's there do good, sometimes its the relationship between dispatcher and driver that don't match but give it a chance as we are always butting heads with the planners to fight for you guys.3) Safety is a big deal unlike most companies we look out for driver, their families and the public's safety. NO LOAD IS THAT HOT...RUN LEGAL 4)What company based in New Jersey does not run New England , you dont want the north east then move out west and get a job.

Well Joe you will be missed, it's to bad that you couldn't hang around for the new pay package. How did you enjoy your new 2011 freightliner that pulled the new 2011 great dane trailers. I wouldn't be to sure about the bad home time considering you you were out for 2 weeks and got to stay home for 4 days sometimes 5 days, and Your driver manager went to bat for you everytime he needed to.Sorry to see you go.Good luck
