Newbe Needing Help From Expeience

    Hi - I'm a Newbe to the truck world and fresh out of Truck driving school and could use the help from the Truckers who have "Been There and Done That" ! I have to choose between 2 companies ASAP to start my new Adventure with . 1- Arnold Tranportation or 2 - USA Trucks , i know they are both considered Botom Feeders and have their Pros and Cons but i have to start at the bottom and work my way up the ladder. Any Advice and opinions are apprecicated ! Thanks Again for any help you can give me .

    Not really sure which would be better. Whichever you choose, just give it your best effort and get in a year or more and start looking for something better.

    Con-Way Trucking
    Crete Carriers
    May Trucking
    Schneider
    Roehl
    Millis Transfer
    TransAm

    Etc. ????

    I've tried all of them and other but they weren't hiring in my area (Live on the east coast of MD) Trans Am i didn't like

    ...I've seen more broken down USA Trucks on the side of the road than virtually any other carrier. I also remember being totally unimpressed with the USA Truck recruiter back in school. Best Wishes!

    Out of the 2 I'd take Arnold. They have a terminal down around Carlisle PA, which shouldn't be too far from your home 20.

    Not sure if you have checked into Watkins and Shepard?? I am there now and pretty happy, they would run you out of Conover up and down the east coast, They would bring you down to Conover and run you thru a 10 orientation and then put you in a truck by yourself, The 10 day is riggerious and some don't make it thru it, But the company and you will know if you can make it on your own. I went with them after flunking out with 2 knotheads for trainers... Take Care.
