It is suppose to hit here tonight and be real bad tomorrow. I have taken the day off to get some doctor appointments out of the way but have to get my load in Medicine Lodge late afternoon then back home hopefully before it hits.

We have freezing drizzle right now with the worst to come later today and tomorrow. I was going to haul today but there are train cars where you have to load. Usually takes a day to get those cars loaded.

Iowa and NE are a mess with ice on the roads too. Hubby is in IA trying to make his way home MT. Its not super far, but can seem like a 1000 miles when your MT on some of those hills over there.

You're going to be cutting it close Big John going to Medicine Lodge and back home. Guess tomorrow here is going to be bad, snow, high winds etc. I'm not going anywhere tomorrow. Load of grain isn't that important to me to be out on some bad roads.

I'm not sure what OK is expecting but probably won't be good. Iowa and NE don't sound good right now. Ditto on everyone making it home safely.

Thanks guys. Just talked to him, he's only doing about 40mph, and has 74 miles to go. So the next two hours, he's white knuckling it, as he said he has a whole line of cars behind him and is hoping that someone doesn't decide to speed up and pass him and end up under him or in the ditch.

Doubt he will go anywhere for the next couple days either, once he gets home. Its not worth it.

Well I think I have a buyer for my truck and I would sure hate to see something happen before I get a check. lol If it gets icey that load will wait or they can put another truck on it. It is going just 15 miles from my house and if it is too bad the guy will not unload it anyway.

Well at least he doesn't have a load of cows on and has 500 miles to go. I remember those days when I-70 was closed in western Kansas and we made our on trail north and back over to Colorado in the middle of the night. Wasn't no fun when you can't see the tail lights of the truck and he is only 100ft in front.

Oh, I hear you on that one. I remember one time he had just dropped a load in Ark City, and was headed back up to NE for another load, MT. Trailer started coming around him. He only had half of his lights working on the trailer. He pulled off in Wichita and stayed until he could get the lights working and get some traction. Told the broker to give the load to someone else. LOL If I remember right, that Ice storm took out half of Wichita's power.
