I have to say that this has to be the best company I have been with in my 30 years of trucking. January slows but these people keep me moving. Next time you are on the interstate just keep an eye out and you will see the Megatrux trailers running.

Most of us run the I-40 east and west. Usually run out of California to Jersey or Florida. I had to wait a couple days on this load I have now because of the January slow but sure enough my cell rings and I was on my way out while that TA there in Ontario was jammed with newbies. I almost got my rig hit twice. Good people there though. dispatch is a little short sometimes, but I understand they got alot of stress trying to keep everyone loaded and moving. once you get to knows those guys its all smooth sailing. Im avaraging almost 150k miles with them for the last three years. couple more payments on my rig and I will really be thehappytrucker.

I have tried to call them and email them regarding their lease program, and never a reply. Trying to find out what it entails. If you could tell me, would appreciate, and do they hire out of Ohio.

I called recruting for you. they said they are taking owner ops out of all 48 states. They have one company at this time taking care of their lease purchases. they are supposed to have 2 more companies that they have partnered up with who will be offering lease purchase also. if he does not answer leave him a message, he will call you back

Thanks for the help. Do you know anything about their L/P program, such as equipment, payments. I will call Jason later this week. Hope that you receive this before then so that I will have some idea.Last edited by a moderator: Feb 2, 2011

I've worked for them and they are nothing but lying bags of s###. You either have to be a suck ### or you get the short end of the stick every time. Their lease purchase program is through Star-Port and payments as high as $1300 a WEEK! If you want home time after three or four weeks out they piss and moan they have no freight going that way and that's to any driver no matter where you live. The three dispatchers will lie through their teeth to to get you to take a load and when you get to it the load is nothing close to what they said. They run you totally illegal, your log never matches anything and if you get caught with a dirty log book by the DOT, Megatrux fines you a $100 on top of your DOT fine. Do what you want but I'd be real careful about them if I were you.

well sir Im sorry you had a bad experience. Dispatch is its own creature in any company. I tend to like those boys. ofcourse they get stressed out like all of us and have a bad day. i have not had one bit of a problem getting home now in three years. i dont ask to go home in times like Jan and Feb, any experienced man will tell you to take what you can in the slow months and to skip home time. I check with a frined of mine, he is on the starport program. he is paying $699 a week. that includes his insurance and maintenance. Another buddy goes through the other program they have. his payments are $529 a week and that also was including his maintenance. i think you might have miss understood. $1300 a week is what you pay for a 2011. Dispatch does push to get you to deliver early but ultimately its up to me to run legal. i am the business man. this is my business. this is how I feed my family, so if they offer me something I check all the details including my hours. What other companies you had problems with?
spacetrucker88 Thanks this. -
oh and one more thing. no company is going to be perfect. thats like saying you will find the perfect woman. thats just fantasy. you just have to work through the little imperfections and keep moving.
