My Adventure with JBS Carriers Greeley, Colorado

Flew in today, Sunday Jan. 30th. Picked up at airport by limo service. Long black Hummer H2...There were five other drivers picked up as well. Rooming with a fellow from my neck of the woods in Florida. Everybody is sharing rooms. Motel is decent in Greeley. Orientation starts tomorrow morning...will let you know....

 

Good luck. Keep us updated. 2 to a room now huh? Sure don't like that and that motel is terrible.. Just be honest, I'm from that area and I can't believe they pick you up in a limo and then put you up in a less than satisfactory motel...oh well, will be very interested to hear your feedback on everything involved and are you a veteran or rookie? At any rate I wish you the best and hope Jbs becomes a good company to drive for!! Like Tyson they have plenty of their own freight to move so there should be no excuses as to why they can't keep a driving moving and productive. Looking forward to hearing about your experience there..

 

Have you checked the weather report for Greeley? I live in Loveland 20 miles to the west. Tuesday has a forecast high of 3 below and a low of 18 below. Great timing
I am heading back out on Tuesday. Wish I was going someplace warm.

 

Hey MileHi and RickyDicky what trainers are you guys with? Just curious how it's all going.

 

Well, beginning day two in orientation today. Yesterday we did the stress and strength testing and drug screen and physicals. We couldn't road test due to the snowy weather. Road test will happen Wednesday.

The motel isn't all that bad; although it would be better if they actually had a decent continental breakfast. Packaged honey buns, hard boiled eggs, bananas and coffee....Lunch was very good at Ricks diner behind the motel.

I'll let yall know how it goes today.

Ah... this is Greeley CO - a cowtown of serious proportions! You're lucky they've even heard of a "continenetal breakfast!"
