Well yesterday I purchased my first truck, a fixer uper 1989 KW w900, 3406B CAT, 9spd. Going to use it to haul hay and bagged shavings for our farm and maybe some dump trailer work locally. Any 3406b experts? Anything I need to know about these B model KWs?

Nice trucktor. Simple and reliable. But no ABS, Electronic engine controll (no cruise control), ECAS and other modern toys, I used to drive old truck too.

My first truck was Volvo F10 rigid 20' Refer. With round headlamps

Those Cats were nitorious for the water pumps leaking/puking. Coolant will start to leak from the vent and that's when the impellor seal has started to leak and it's time to rebuild/replace the water pump.

Exactly but I knew that going into it. Needs a cab mount welded, window crank assembly dose not work, one of the air bags in the back leaks down, but 4 of them are new out of the 8. Paint, a new bumper. I'm more concerned with making sure its in good running order before anything on that list.
