I want MORE government regulations!

I will not support much of anything the Government does or wants to do, simply because almost 95% of what they do now, they have no authority in the Constitution for.

If you can't get what you want negoitiated with the load, then don't haul it.

 

problem with this idea is this. This is the United States of America. No one does anything the same way but we all get the same job done. I've had issues like you have had before but you can't make the good ol USA a machine and process everything one way.

Think about it. How boring would that be.

Why is it any of your business how much the broker makes? If the rate to you is good, take it. If not, refuse it.

Why do you need a FSC on a broker load? Either the rate covers your expenses or it doesn't. Do you also need an oil change surcharge? A tire-wear surcharge?

 

The brokers do have to disclose the info including pay on any load. All you have to do is ask.

That being said, they SHOULD just provide the info, but that would be courteous.

 

Re: Bill of Lading....it's the carrier that leaglly issues the BOL, not the shipper. Although most shippers "Prepare" the document for you to sign as agent for the carrier.

 

Ask them once and then see how many more loads you get from them.

Any brokered load. If you book the load through a broker they are required to provide that info on request, per FMCSA regulations.

I was looking into what needed to be done to start a brokerage myself, but I didn't have the money to do it the right way. I got a lot of helpful info from members here about the things that tick them off about brokers. Someday I might still get to do that! I would have been providing that info without being asked too.
