I swear if I could find a better place I would be moving my trucks to a fenced in area with guard dogs and search lights! this is the 3rd time in the last two weeks that ive had the tanks in both my trucks siphoned, locking caps HAHA they spent hours there prying and picking it off. The only thing I can do is tell my drivers to leave the tanks almost empty at the end of the day. I thought about setting up motion detecting lights on where the trucks park but I doubt that it would help. twice in the last month I have had to run up to the store with 2 5 gallon containers to get enough diesel to make it to the pump because they didn't even leave enough to get it started and warmed up. the thought of hoodlums sitting out there siphoning my fuel out of my trucks just makes me want to go Postal. Sorry to ramble but it is a very stressful situation its hard enough keeping fuel in the trucks as it is without other people helping them out:biggrin_25516::biggrin_25516:

    ###### that just sucks......I mean sure fuel is high right now ,but ###### there is NO REASON for this kind of crap. I hope you can figure out a way of putting a stop to that crap...:biggrin_25510:

Stand guard and shoot a couple of them.

With the price of diesel.....it's grand theft at least.

I have a good Idea, spend a night in your truck with a shotgun! Make sure your tanks are full and setup a video camera somewhere outside, that way you can scare the crap out of them and then when the cops show up and can prove it...

This isn't a bad idea. You can get infer-red cameras that can be hooked up to a VCR or DVR and catch them on camera.

You didn't mention it, so I'll say it. Have you put siphon blocks in the tank? Kind of hard siphoning fuel with 3/8" hose. Most will have a garden hose.

Buy an aftermarket car alarm. I'm sure there are some models with timed delayed auto shut offs.

just dont hire the ghost hunters or sasquatch hunters--cause those people never catch a thing
mind you if the truck was parked between a couple of snake pits it might be a preventative measure

they can still fit a small enough hose in there to get a decent amout of fuel out. plus im afraid they might drill a hole in the tank to get the fuel :biggrin_2555: i wouldnt put it past these people

I watched an episode of Trick My Truck and they put this security system on it with secret laser beams all around it. Break the beam and they had an amplified recording of a Rottweiler. Pretty cool setup.

Those people have to live pretty close.
