I run 575-M6's on all my radios. It sounds better than the MC-60 and MD100x base mics.

Cobra HG M84. I got it to replace my stock mic that was broken. I got it for $20 new. Seems to work pretty good so far.

What is wrong with the mikes that come with the Cobra 25/29's, Midland 5001Z, Uniden PC 68/78 and such?

nothing is really wrong with them.....but they are the low end of the quality spectrum Buckeye......like these guys are saying about road kings and astats....it because they will last a long time and sound good and clear
