Ok....Swift says NO inverters not even cell phone inverters. RULES are RULES and I'm not breaking any that I can control. Sure theres folks out there that has had to figure out how to change there cooking stuff to 12 volt. Im not going to buy electric stuff off ebay cuz my past I had gotten ripped off stuff that dont work with electric stuff form that site. I prefer not to buy at truck stops...we all know that its 50 percent over retail value even there food like Iron Skillet, so thats not a option for me. Anyway everything has to be run to a cigarette 12 volt plug-in that in most trucks only one in front of cab. Where is a walk-in store that sells thes 12 volt cooking accessories for reasonable price that I can find during hometime. Especially a Microwave.

Saw the 12V lunch box at Wilco today $19.99

Les just put your inverter away when you go in for service. No big deal. I work for Swift. I'm going to buy a 400 Cobra in the next day or 2. My Power Drive 300 causes problems starting up my laptop.

Les, I doubt there is, as all the m/waves I know of draw at least 1000 watts on 110 vac. Most draw near 1500. Ya might check www.compactappliances.com to see what they have tho.

The reason companies won't let ya run a big inverter is because it's so hard on the batterys and alternator! A 1500 watt inverter wll kill an alternator quick if used every day.

IF you can heat water, you can cook!

The lunchbox 12vdc heaters will boil h2o.
If ya drop a can of chili (for example) in the hot h2o and let it roll back-n-forth while yer driving you will need a glove to hold the can.
Any frozen buro or chimi can be heated as ya drive.
NISSIN brand Chow Mein meals from Dollar General cost .98 cents ea and come in many flavors. A couple chunks of "Chesters Chicken" leftover from lunch added to the Nissin noodles will give ya more than you can comfortably eat.
IF ya have a FRIDGE (500 watt lighter-plug inverter will run it) you can cook & freeze stuff at home before ya go out.
Meatloaf, H/B helper, whatever in those small aluminum pans fit perfect in the lunchbox heater! Prep at home and freeze the food beforehand.

    Just some ideas......C-ya!
