Anybody know the difference between the Western Pacific Truck Schools in CA and WA vs the Western Pacific Truck School of Oregon that is PTDI certified? Are these two the same company? It looks like they share the same logo but I am skeptical since one is PTDI certified and the others are not.

My nephew went to TDA and no matter what they say about the "training" its not a bad school since he got a good job. I know he did say he got PO at the office for making lots of errors but I guess they hire good trainers and save on other staff. lol I went to Area Truck Driving and they were amazing for me.

so no - TDA isn't foodlink or western, and yes - I'd advise staying away - unless you already know how to dock and do a pretrip, because you're only gonna get 3 days to study for that pretrip, and you'll be testing out you dock at the DMV the next week. This is part of Central refridgerated's new accelerated program - which is quite a bit different than the contract you'll sign explaining that you'll be testing in Fontana, (although in retrospect the independent students seemed to be getting the same schedule) - you'll never get to practice your docking on the actual truck you'll be taking to the DMV- because it's a nicer cab than the practice trailers- quite a bit faster and more , perhaps overly, responsive -but why risk the good vechicles on the skills practice? it's not like you people can drive. besides, you should be able to drive any truck. makes sense if you don't think about it. However , it's $30 to retake a skills test , and they'll throw you into it within 2 weeks regardless - a great plan for people with too much money on their hands. apparently Fontana is overbooked now , but they're still in a hurry.
Nice people though. No offense Central - I suspect you were just bargain hunting.
But don't you think breaching your own contracts might start getting expensive?
