Krooser,
I have seen a horror story like that from one of the other truck paper radiator stores, with a 'new' radiator, they sent him a bottle of silver seal, they told him that all radiators leak, had to laugh myself silly, luckily he didnt put the radiator in the truck, he sent it back and got one from KW
Whos re cored there own radiator?

So the local guy kinda struck out. So i should call Detroit radiator tomorrow then? they are a step above the Chinese junk truck paper stuff right?

So apparently I have an "old" style radiator with a right side inlet thats uncommon so its $1750 from deroit apposed to $1200 for the regular W900 one....

well after talking to a few local truck guys and $1600 later its getting rebuilt at a very reputable radiator shop near me.

I recored one about 3 years ago. Got it put together, filled it up and the core started leaking from 3 small holes near the top. Had a local radiator shop fix it. Sent the place pictures of where it was leaking and a copy of the repair bill. But I never could get anything out of them, they would always have an excuse whenever I called to ask them about it. Not that the repair bill was going to break me, I think it was $60. But the truck was down a couple extra days. The place it came from? Not a major, not a colonel, a General.....

yeah I just went with a local shop and they have a year warranty on it and are 15mins from my house so if I need to drive there and argue I can especially after hearing all the stores on here about internet and truck paper radiator places.
